Final decision
The skipper makes the final decision to start, change, shorten or cancel a session. This applies to every skipper-led practical session, including sailing practice in Zegrze Południowe.
This decision may also be made immediately before the session if weather, technical or organizational conditions require it.
Safety briefing
Before going on the water, the briefing covers at least:
- life jackets and basic equipment,
- no alcohol before or during the session,
- safe behavior on board,
- emergency procedure,
- skipper authority,
- the rule that a participant may perform selected maneuvers only as part of the practical session and under the direct supervision of the skipper present on board,
- the rule that the yacht is not handed over for independent use.
Weather
The session may be cancelled or moved because of wind, storms, poor visibility, low temperature, technical issues or other safety-related circumstances.
A safety cancellation is not treated as a customer fault.
Conduct on board
Participants should follow skipper instructions, use indicated safety equipment and report any situation that may affect safety.
The skipper may refuse to start or may interrupt a session if participant behavior creates a risk for people, the yacht or other water users.
