Dola Sailing

FAQ

Common questions about practical sailing sessions, safety, weather and booking.

Can I use the yacht independently?

No. The service is conducted by the skipper. The yacht is not handed over for independent use.

Is this a license course?

No. Dola Sailing offers practical sailing and safety sessions, but this is not a formal license course or exam service.

Can a participant hold a sailing license?

Yes. A license may help choose suitable exercises, but it does not change the character of the service. A participant may perform selected maneuvers only as part of the practical session and under the direct supervision of the skipper present on board.

What happens in bad weather?

The skipper may move or cancel the session for safety reasons. Weather is checked before the session and may be reassessed during the session.

When is a booking confirmed?

A booking is confirmed only after individual agreement of the date, service scope, price, meeting point and basic organizational rules.

Where does the service take place?

Usually it is a practical sailing session near Warsaw in the Zegrze or Zegrze Reservoir area, depending on weather and the skipper’s decision.

Is alcohol allowed on board?

No, not before or during the session. The skipper may refuse participation when a person’s condition or behavior may affect safety.
